Our Foundation (2021 - 2025)

TYL Nonprofit was founded by a group of friends from our hometown of Lugoff-Elgin, shortly after graduating from undergraduate school. What began as a shared commitment to give back became an organized effort to serve students, teachers, and families in tangible ways.

In our early years, we:
• Sponsored teachers
• Awarded scholarships to graduating seniors
• Hosted back-to-school drives
• Volunteered consistently in our community

Those efforts were built through the dedication, time, and leadership of our founding members and volunteers. Their work established the credibility, relationships, and trust that define TYL today.

Our Next Chapter (2026 and Onward)

TYL is evolving into a platform designed for common people.

You do not need a long institutional history.
You do not need generational wealth.
You do not need a foundation board with legacy branding.

If you want to create opportunity, we believe you should have a system to manage it.

Our platform will:

• Provide a centralized scholarship directory for students
• Offer management structure for individuals who want to create scholarships
• Help everyday people formalize and administer their own awards
• Increase visibility for community-based opportunities

We are building infrastructure that lowers the barrier to entry on both sides.

This is not about prestige.

It is about access.

TYL would not exist without the founding members, volunteers, donors, and partners who contributed their time, energy, and belief in the mission.

The work done in our early years laid the groundwork for where we are headed. This next chapter stands on that foundation.

Growth does not erase contribution. It builds upon it.
